mermaids and menswear

i was extremely happy to get the chance to see the lovely marilyn lamanna over my winter break. we had some fun taking photos and drinking good coffee, as usual. however, we once more experimented with style within our photographer, ranging from titanic couture to curtain lighting to menswear. it was a blast and ended with some wonderful photographs.

first, we visited the top floor of harold washington library to escape the cold.

we later played with lighting in my room to give a sort of underwater-feel. marilyn looks almost like a voyage passenger from the time of downton abbey, which we watched the night before.

finally, inspired by a jenna coleman photoshoot, we decked out in a suit and tie to change things up a bit.

i had such a great time and i'm so glad to have seen her. missing you already, marilyn.

lots of love,
sam
