this week, i spent the week downtown at journalism camp, preparing for my new job as a reporter and photographer for the Chicago Tribune's teen publication, the MASH. i learned about things ranging from how to deal with hard stories to how to capture journalistic photos, and i had so much fun doing it. hanging out with the other mashers and meeting such amazing people at the tribune has been one of my favorite parts of this summer so far. i cannot wait to spend the upcoming year with them all.

we had an exercise called "humans of chicago" that was modeled after "humans of new york" and my partner maggie and i found this amazing guy.
